Last week I got to get my hands on one of these brand spanking new VTech InnoTab 2 tablets and I have to say I was very impressed at the amount of functions and how easy it was to use.
I know there are many children, like my Son, who enjoy playing on their parent's smartphones/tablets but there comes a time when Mummy or Daddy needs that back so inventions like this Vtech InnoTab2 are perfect to free up your smartphone!
The VTech InnoTab 2 is the brand now version of the very very popular InnoTab thats been in the shops and with children around the world for a few years.
Vtech InnoTab 2 Price Comparison
This and the Leapfrog LeapPad 2 are both very high on the list of most popular toys for Christmas 2012 and I have to say rightly so, they are both ace. Now though, InnoTab has been improved with even more exciting multi-media learning features and is packed with lots of fantastic games.
So lets see what all the fuss is about with the Vtech InnoTab 2
This all new and improved InnoTab 2 now comes with its very own 1.3 meg camera, which like the Vtech Kidizoom from christmas 2011, this also features a spinable lens, along with a microphone and video recording camera.
The Vtech InnoTab 2 is a super easy-to-use tablet (even Granny could suss it out!) which will help your children to develop their main life skills like reading, spelling, maths and understanding logic with the fantastically fun games and most importantly educational activities.
You get a 12cm colour screen that kids will love because its touch-screen and I tell you, nothing confuses a child more than having played on a touch screen device and then being confronted with a non touch screen tablet!
You can get the Innotab 2 in two different flavours Blue and Pink, presumably blue for boys, pink for girls, its odd to think that 70 years ago pink was considered a very manly colour and blue was for girls, strange how things change hey? Anyway here is the Pink InnoTab 2 in all its glory.
The gaming system included within is motion activated so it adds an extra level of interaction for your child.
So here are some of the main features of the Vtech innoTab 2
- Enjoy stories and books with the built in e-reader
- Children can play with the games
- Play and have fun with their favourite characters from TV & Film
- Look at and even alter their photos
- Get artistic and draw their own fantastical images with the built in art studio
- Watch movies and short videos
- Use the built in memory to keep and listen to their music
You will be able to download for your child, extra games and apps via the VTech website.
The InnoTab itself has no internet access, which IMO is a good thing, children don't need to be exposed to that too young, but you can connect it to your to a computer with the USB cable so you can move stuff back and forth.
Frustratingly for something that cost almost 90 quid you will have to get 4 x AA batteries and an SD card for downloads as they are NOT included.. seriously VTech?
I know thats a slight downer, but lets not take too much away from what in reality is a fantastic bit of kit and your children are going to love it!
